AB Fiftyone has won the Aberdeen Business School Industry Partner Innovation Award, recognising the agency’s commitment to giving students real, hands-on experience in the marketing profession.
Presented by Robert Gordon University’s Aberdeen Business School, the award recognises organisations that go beyond traditional placements, giving students the opportunity to work on live projects and develop genuine industry experience.
The recognition follows the placement of student intern Caitlin Lanigan, who worked across strategy, content creation and video production during her time with us.
Caitlin reviewed our market positioning, helped develop a new social video strategy, and attended live shoots for both client work and our own marketing. Rather than sitting on the sidelines, she experienced first-hand how marketing moves from strategy through to execution, and was trusted to direct one of our social media shoots herself.

The award adds to a milestone year for us as we mark our tenth anniversary. It follows a shortlisting in the Creative and Media Entrepreneur of the Year category at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, alongside previous recognition at the Northern Enterprise Awards and UK Enterprise Awards.
Working with universities and emerging marketing talent remains an important part of our long-term approach, creating meaningful industry experience for students while bringing fresh perspectives into our business.
